S - Sound good to be true
P - Promise high return with no risk
O - One off opportunity
T - Take your money quickly
So, how does "S" means? When someone tells you "If you invest RM1000, you will received 20% return every month" then you should realized that this is a scam. Please beware!!
What about "P"? EVERYBODY should know, every investment should have its own risk at least a little risk. So, when someone promise you moon saying "This investment will not risk your money at all" - should you believed? Thats right! DON'T!
Usually, these type of scam will force you to make immediate decision. Again, be wise. Investment is about studying the potential of return received in certain time frame. So, if you spot this "Ayooo... rugi if you wait man... I cannot promise you you will get this kind of return if you join later..." - then, back off and you can enjoy your money elsewhere.
"T" is the most obvious action taken by such scam scheme. They take cash... Immediate cash. "No money no talk!" However, sometimes, they take cheques too... but very rare.
What should we do then? Its simple and easy. Go on to LIST below:
L - Licence - Check!
I - Information - Be particular!
S - Skeptical - Be wise!
T - Tough - Don't pressure yourself!
Every type of investment that involve shares and others should have the approval from Security Commission. Lets check them first whether they are truely certified person or company to hold such investment. Get their licences!
If you feel unsecure and required study on the investment, go and study the investment scheme. You don't know how to study the matter? Again, go to Security Commission and get advise. They should have all type of information that you required.
Sometimes, these people targeting the people who have little access to investment plan. They will go about people who live in the village, low income earners, pensioners and etc. Hardly they will try to persuade people with good financial back ground. So, don't just trust them even they come from your family.
Most of the time we make mistake because we always follow people in making investment. Guess what? You will be fooled by them just with a finger tips. Make wise decision and talk to those who have financial back ground in investment. Keep distance with beautiful words of wisdom in investment.
